Ecologically-minded Update

I am very pleased to announce a major change to the way Buffalo Brownies consumes oil-based plastics.

As part of a general review of our practices, and with the national (global, really, thanks to the incredible efforts of Greta Thunberg and her like) focus on ecological matters growing ever stronger, we have decided to change the type of plastic used to protect our brownies and blondies in transit via the mail and when presented directly on our stalls. At the same time, we have looked at various parts of our website and sharpened them up a bit, including this new section on our Why Buffalo? page which explains all about the new type of plant-based plastic we are using: polylactic acid

To meet the considerably higher unit cost of this type of plant-based plastic wrapping, and also to reflect the general increase in material prices across the board (Br**it related, mostly, sadly), we have slightly raised the price of some of our flavours, both online and on our stalls. In most cases, this is a few pence.

We hope you agree that a little bit more money is a small price (literally) to pay for reducing our collective consumption of single-use plastics and the oil which must be drilled to make them.

In other news, we're about to start looking at our Xmas offering (yes, it's November now, Halloween is done with and now there's nothing to talk about except Xmas and, I dunno, a General Election, and we're not going to talk about a General Election, ta.) for 2019, so keep your eyes peeled to our social media feeds for more details. There's a high chance of a mixed Compact pack being a thing again. Some of you seem to really like it...

Bye for now,

James (on behalf of Team BB)
