Coming soon... another new flavour poll!

Just in case they thought I was letting them out for a(n apparently) well-earned Easter break, I take no little pleasure in letting the development team in the Lab know that I need three new flavours prepared, STAT, for our imminent Facebook flavour poll.

The theme this month is booze. On more than one occasion on our travels and in talking to punters at shows have we been asked about the possibility of somehow incorporating a bit of a grown-up flavour into one of our darker chocolate recipes. Having been given the tip-off by the delightful Jules of Butcher, Baker blog fame that there was a whisky gum recipe of some repute floating around, it seemed the perfect opportunity to contrast and compare this to the pate-de-fruits-style fruit jellies we use in some of our existing flavours. What's the worst that could happen?

Okay, yes, the kitchen could set on fire, that's definitely on the Continuum of Badness. But... think of it... Courvoisier in a Connoisseur? Bourbon in a blondie? The possibilities are literally endless. Literally.

Anyway. It's a challenge I am certain our Lab will relish. Now... where's that marker pen? I must just check the levels on the bottles in the drinks cabinet...

  • Post-Atomic haze

    Oh dear God what do you people do in that kitchen?

    Just got my first order, and am sitting sprawled in a post-Atomic haze, barely able to type.

    Not only are they some of the best blondies I've ever had (oh, and they go great with a beer, by the way) but they came right through my letterbox less than two days after I ordered. Perfection!
